Had my first night's sleep on the new bed. I was a little concerned when I looked at it - it is basically two twin beds. It turned out that I had my bed night's sleep in a very long time.

In the morning, hubby decided to stay in the middle part. I think he likes me. Surprisingly, he said that it didn't feel like 2 beds. I do use one kingsize mattress pad and one king size fitted sheet. So, maybe that helped to disguise the fact that it really is 2 beds shoved together.

Normally, I wake up several times during the night with either hip pain or neck pain. That didn't happen at all last night. Knock on wood.

Years ago, my husband and I tried a Sleep number bed at the mall. He liked it. I wasn't impressed for the money. Now, we are starting to think about going to try it out again.

I'd like to hear from people who have had either before, or even something similar.
We slept on the kingsize Sleep Number last year at our resort as they just put them in on the remodel and it seem alright. We spent half the week trying to find our settings. We thought of buying couple times after that but the boss wasn't interested.

Because I'm having so much neck pain last few months my wife and I decided on the Ca King Tempurpedic and its great so far. I don't know about the heat as I haven't noticed a difference from this bed and our old one yet.
It cost us $3500 at Sleep Train this last weekend but with sales it was the time to buy. I really liked the idea of the add-on to make the bed lift but not enough to spend another $1900. Wife said if I needed it higher put my arm under the pillow and give her the $1900.

I have a sleep number that only has one chamber so it is the same thruout. I don't end up in the middle connector as there isn't one. I can only adjust it for me, no double adjustment but again I didn't need it and it saved me some money. shaggy

I've been sleeping pain free on mine. It's also been nice and cool

We have a newer king size Sleep Number Bed, with temp control memory foam on top. It's similar to the new memory foam mattresses. Once I figured out that I shouldn't use that nice mattress pad I had on the old bed and removed it, I love my mattress even more. I no longer wake up overheated and sleep well through the night. If my hip hurts, I lower the number a little and sleep in a softer bed than usual, so it works well for me. Kind of best of both beds.

We also have an older Tempur-Pedic mattress in our guest room and I love that one too, except that I get too warm in it. We bought it when our daughter was having back problems, and it really helped her. My mother owns an adjustable Sleep Number bed with heat and massage and often retreats into it during days when her arthritis flares up.

We just splurged and bought a Sealy latex mattress and 2 twin X-long adjustable bed frames. The best price anywhere was from Furnitureland in N.C.. We saved $1,700. I slept like a baby last night for the first time in a long time!
