    Not too long for me. Interesting case which I religiously followed (along with the many OF tales).

    when it came my turn, my presentation was necessarily quite extensive . . . transaction by transaction for several years.

    Prior to my turn, my stepsister had been glancing at her watch frequently, to let everyone know she was much more important than everyone else, even though I had traveled several hundred miles and she had traveled one mile to be there.

    During my presentation, her watch-glancing became much more frequent, as attorney and I matched exact amounts on the same day going from Dad's accounts into perps account(s), alledgedly at that time, since he had not pleaded guilty yet.

    & when I/we finally finished, she said, "Could you say it shorter?"

    & I said, "No."

    I have never met anyone who did not make me happy, some when they arrive and some when they leave.

      I frequently say, "just sayin" as a means to sound dumb. Plus, it annoys people which doubles my fun.

          My husband absolutely hates "It is what it is"

          He says he doesn't understand it.

          I just say, well, because it is what it is... he's so much fun to annoy....

            I hear it or say it almost everyday, because where I am or what I'm doing is what it is.

              I say that when faced with seemingly hopeless adversity. I think it goes along with the serenity prayer:

              God grant me the serenity
              to accept the things I cannot change;
              courage to change the things I can;
              and wisdom to know the difference.

                  'Just saying' is meant to imply that the previous comment is a 'throw away' comment. The sayer means what is said, but doesn't want to be held responsible for saying it. Along the lines of 'don't get mad at me, but...' where you know the hearer is gonna be mad.

                  I use it is what it is when I mean deal with it. Usually it's me dealing with it

                  Whatever.

                              Translated as thus: Between you and me, some of this is crap, but it is all good to others.
