Glad they added the last bit about checking to see if it can be opened with all 000's at the end.
I am sure this is probably not the same in all cases, as the default codes are probably designed by the manufactor. There may also be the ability with each resort / hotel manager to set their own "Master" code in events such as this. Still interesting to watch though!

We had to have security open the safe in our hotel room at one of the casino hotels. They had to use a special tool to open it. There was no default number.
We use the hotel safes a lot because we spend several nights in casino hotels where we store a lot of cash and slot tickets. You should enter your PIN to lock it and then try to see if there is a default number like all zeroes or 1234 that opens it.John

Somebody contacted me about the safes at the Royals being easily opened several years ago- I'll have to see if I have that info still on my oldest computer.
There really is no "safe" place- just deterents.

I did not read it, but from the replies assume it was not mentioned that there is sometimes a "safe charge". You can normally have it removed from your bill by whining.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick
