We're in the home furnishing mode, and the thought hit me . . . wireless TV. Cable or Sat, with a router, so that you can place any TV anywhere in range, enter a key, and . . . wallah, TV with no cable!!!

    Can it be far away?

some of the the new HD TVs come with internet access for streaming TV shows and movies. They access the internet either thru your wired or wireless router.

            Would that be either ether?

The way this came up is that yesterday was Comcast and bedroom furniture day. When we got the bed in the bedroom with cable, the cable is in the wrong place. The right TV would be a flat screen on the wall in front of the bed, an interior wall, but the cable would have to be strung across the room. Compared to wireless Internet, the whole TV cable thing seems outdated.

Since we had just set up the wireless internet router, I said . . . wireless TV can't be far away.

Oh, BTW, so far Comcast has been a joke. Two weeks later than promised. Two sixty mile trips to pick up boxes. Take a number and stand in line to wait to talk to someone. Can't see a statement of charges, so can't see if it is what was represented.

As far as the way the TV service works, DW seems to really like it, as compared to DISH. Wait until she can run the DVR blindfolded!!!!

The joke continues. I ordered a $69/month special, upgraded to $70-something, with no installation charges.

I bought our own modem and router to avoid equipment charges.

It appears there are installation charges and they have an equipment charge bringing it up to $96.

See, this relates to timeshare . . . same biz model, lying and tacking on fees.

I did not bring our DISH receiver and remote, with free installation here, and our regular monthly charge (their Snowbird Program), because of this Comcast offer.
