I was at home at noon letting Steffi out when the BOC notice came on as a cell phone text message. I was too late to even think about it by that time.
I did buy two woot items; I got a Olive Bonsai and a new Roku to put into my bedroom and for vacation traveling. I love my old Roku, but the DW would rather watch an hour NCIS or Castle over a movie.Don

And that is the difference between the big city and little Minneapolis area. Our selection is very limited on that type item.
I took a bonsai class many years ago, but haven't done well with my juniper bonsai living. I have boxwood that I will trim in the spring. The problem with that type plant is over wintering it. Normally-they are outside and go dormant. A bonsai version of that needs so much protection to not freeze. Hopefully, trimming in spring will allow me to get it acclimated and able to handle next winter.
The other issue I have is watering. I have a number of orchids which require little water and then the bonsai which needs water often. If I keep the watering schedule right, both will live.Don
