BTW, we used a 32" shower cabinet in one bathroom (not the one with the big tub) and even my kids think it's pretty tight in there. Standard is 36".

Yeah, that up-and-over thing for tubs is problematic. I have a friend in NYC who plans to redo her bathroom using one of those tubs with a step-in door. She says that will add a lot to the resale value of her apartment because all the pied-a-terre buyers are older and they want those tubs.

Those are soaking tubs, btw. Have you considered them?

You wouldn't want to install a nice big tub and then have the frustration of never having enough hot water for it. I think you can get special in-wall heaters to "boost" the hot water supply....
It's a 75 gallon tub, but I don't think the hot water heater is an issue in an apt building.

Shower is in the corner so on an angle. Can't change the footprint but it's a two person shower. A little small for two people, but not terrible and fine for one.

I appear to be out of time to consider anything. Demo started today. Tub getting ordered today, if it hasn't already been. Yikes! Up and over it is
