That is odd. I wonder if it was a prescription medication issue.

AnnMarie, Thank you for the link, As the link said they released the name this afternoon. My son said he knew Mark since they were in the same building, He was not good friends with him just hello and good bye as they passed in the hall way or stairs. From the picture you can see my sons room, His is looking at the picture from the right middle row next to the arch walk way. The boy who passed on was right above him. My son also has a single room which are rare and hard to come by., The School did good by alerting every one but we only found out the name around 3 pm today only 5 hours before the news reported it.

There have been two suicides in my son's engineering class of around 150 students. The amount of pressure that these kids are under is incredible.
I am so glad to hear that counsellors are available for the other students.

Sad news. Hope your son and his classmates are doing fine. I lived in Palmers my senior year. Good to hear that they are keeping students posted and counseling is available. No such thing when I went there. They used to keep things quiet and everything was thru words of mouth. Freshman year, one of my classmates died of heart attack while playing baskeball. Young and health; who would think of it! My senior year, a coed was raped by an oversea student that I heard left on diplomatic immunity. Other things happens thru the years and never an official acknowledgment from the school. I guess things change.

Unfortunately, there are a few student who choose not to get involved in anything and they can go missing for days without being notice. There was a student across the hall from me frshman year who never made any friends. Even his roomate did not interact with him. Never saw him during the day, come back very late at nights to sleep, sometimes spents the night out, gone during weekend, and moved out during Chrismas break. Feel sorry for the parents too.
