Has anyone had any experience with this company? Would like to hear any pros and/or cons. We are thinking about having a bath redone.

From what I hear if you are looking for a quick fix that will not last as long as new then if you can take the mess and smell then go for it. I would only do this if I was selling my home, Be sure you are aware of what needs to be done. I never had it done and I am not sure if they changed how they do it but a friend did it many years ago. The smell and mess was not worth it.

It is a nice looking and fast renovation that doesn't disturb lead paint so containment isn't an issue.

With an older home there might be a lead paint containment issue that could drive the cost of the replacement up by over 50%. Replacement meaning a gut and replace.

We have a 3rd floor beach condo..... all stairs no elevator. Since the building is on stilts, tile with grout will only crack. We have a tub right now, but are wanting a shower replacement. The price is a little over 4 grand and this includes a shower door. It is nothing fancy as the price adds up quickly. The only seam is where the wall means the shower base and the shower base is 5 1/2 inches high.

Just so you are aware, Removing a tub may de-value your condo cause people who have infants need a tub. If you still want to rip it out and place a shower you can do it for much less than what you said. You can buy tile at under $1 a foot and then find a handy man cheap to put it in. If you want to save even more you can buy plastic shower enclosures.

What they don't know won't hurt them. It is all legal up to the time you get caught.

Try to get it passed the doorman or maintenance crew that man the service elevator. Good Luck.
And if you get a leak which goes down thru 10 units causing damage, your condo insurance will not cover you. If the handyman has no insurance, you have a problem, BIG TIME.

We had our bathroom redone with Bathfitter about 3 years ago and are happy with the results. We had the acrylic mold (whatever it's called) put on over the existing bathtub and the sides of the bath up to the window all around. There was no smell or mess involved. It was done quickly (within several hours).
