It took 18 and a half hours but now I am hooked up
We have been using FIOS for a few years and we really love it. Now you may need to upgrade your wireless router too to get your laptop and phone to run at full speed that FIOS will give you.

They included a wireless router that has N and G, N is as far as I know the fastest. I took the 50/25 package but because I had the install from hell and it took 5 people to do it and 18 and a half hours to install. I may be getting a free upgrade to the next level which as of right now is 150/65. As of right now this is the next upgrade, By the end of the month they are adding a few new ones. If you want to talk speed of light look at this http://newscenter.verizon.com/press-...ew-era-of.html
FIOS is the best. I have had Verizon FIOS for 7 years. Our city was the first in the country to get Verizon FIOS. I have a bundled package with FIOS Internet, FIOS TV, FIOS land line phone, and Verizon Wireless. There is a good reason why Verizon FIOS is the highest rated service of all major vendors.
I just randomly came across your post "bigfrank", and I had heard of FiOS before but never really checked into it. I just pulled up Verizon's website though and saw that with their FiOS service, you can get download speeds up to 150Mbps. Geez! That's really fast. Definitely going to call and check on availability in my area today. Watch it not be available. I hope not!

Please excuse me, I'm a Dick. Not a moron just a Dick
I may not live long enough to see such wonders down here in the flyover land.
Same here probably, although in one of my spars with CTel, they say they have two faster speeds.
Good for you BF.

Not sure if you saw the part about my post above that said they have new plans coming the end of June. 150MBPS is super fast but How does 300MBPS sound?
