  • Happy Fathers day, Mine started out with a laugh

I do not think I can talk for the whole day, First let me say in my cell phone for my son's name I do not have my sons naam on there. I have him listed as That's My Boy cause he always did some thing that made me proud to say That's my boy. Any way about a litle after 10 pm last night my son says dad you want to go see the Avengers? Then some how it got Changed to go see the 11:40 pm movie, That's my boy with Adam Sandler. I have not laughed threw a whole movie like this in Years, I now have the sorest vocal chords ever from laughing so hard. I think you could hear the laughs a mile a way. It was hysterical! I could not have asked for a better time to spend with my son and yet we still have a full day coming.

What a nice story Frank! So glad to hear that you & your son started off your Father's Day celebration seeing a good movie and laughing together. Hope your day is equally terrific!

Happy Father's day to all the fathers here on TS4M's!

Hope you all have a wonderful day celebrating with your friends & family!

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

                Happy Fathers' Month.

Mine's gone . . . ten years this month . . . and he was one from that generation who just did whatever they had to do for those who followed, because doing the right thing was more important than anything else. I have hundreds of pictures he took with a mini-camera during WWII in the South Pacific, but I have not brought myself to looking through them yet.

I would not wish his life on anyone, but, by the end, I hope he knew how much I loved him.

I'm sure he did, Jim. Father's are astute but generally aren't big on talking feelings...

Yeah, that's my take on it. He was from that generation that did not emote openly. I cannot express how thankful I am that his doing the right thing regardless of personal consequences rubbed off on me.

Another topic for another day, if anyone wants to go there.

Anyway, Happy Fathers' Month to all and a time to reflect, if that be the case.

I'm heading to the dock to join DW's extended fam . . . it's a day to remember her Dad, too, by enjoying those who came after.

My fathers day started last night too. Youngest son brought over a pizza and card. This morning I got chocolate eclares and some more cards. This after noon I got a new wallet. For dinner the kids made fried chicken and the grand kids made brownies for desert. Life is good !!!
