We are heading from South Carolina to our home on Long Island tomorrow. I'm a little nervous about getting gas. If we fill up as far south as Delaware or Washington, we will be OK to make it home. Has anyone encountered any issues in that area? It will be hard to judge when it will be the last we can fill up so I'm not sure how to proceed. Any suggestions?

Lawren posted a useful article on finding gas stations in the Northeast US subforum -- some of those resources might help.

Ann-Marie if you can put it off for even a few days I would recommend waiting. Another 4-5 days and we will not have chainsaws as our background music and gas stations will have both gas and electricity. It is a very long drive and the gas lines are ~ 3 hours long.Lawren
