  • which is best for investing the money ?

    Hello everyone!!!
What do you think is more better to invest in Real Estate Market or Stock Market?
Because I have heard that there is equal ratio of profit and loss in stock market while in Real Estate you always get profitable return on your investment.

Stock market. Equal ratio of profit and loss? Um, based on what? Which tickers bought/sold when? Were there any dividends or stock splits? Where is this equal ratio supposed to be hiding?

I think you need to ask the underwater homeowners about that Always get Profitable return in real estate bit. If no one rents the condo I bought, where is that profit?

I'd strongly suggest investigating both options a lot deeper than you have before deciding where to park your money as it seems that you are not yet acquainted with the ins and outs of either scenario and are being led by hyperbole.

I spose I'm the only one waiting for the other shoe to fall?

&, I am just sooooo good at investing money that I don't know where to start.

Wanna know how to have a million dollars? Well, you start with ten million, and then . . .

Yeah, an old Iowa farmer joke.

But, if I really had some, I would be buying the three (more) SW FL Gulf Coast waterfront/rights houses I posted about this week, each for about 1/4 of their original value. The one we did buy has about tripled in two years.

Then there is the guy at my country club up north who says he puts all his money in the company that manufactures diapers for Mexico.

Oops, now I see it, the Banned thing. Guess I just got accustomed to seeing that next to JLB somewhere.

Investing in real estate depends on the location. I don't know where you heard that you always get a profit on real estate. Tell that to the people that live in areas that saw a substantial drop in real estate prices. In our area prices dropped over 50% from 2006. They have just started to recover slowly but it will be many years if ever in the foreseeable future to regain what has been lost.

A big problem with real estate is lack of liquidity. On a down turn it can be very difficult or even impossible to get your money out if you need it.

The stock market has returned a pretty good return over the long term but it can have sharp drops though historically it has regained its value over time. One big advantage is that you always sell your stocks even if you take a loss.

From your question, it appears that you need to spend a lot of time learning about investing before plunging into either real estate or the stock market.

Odds are good, IMO. Let's see -- a new user on their second post puts out an asinine statement that "in Real Estate you always get profitable return on your investment".

I guessing the OP will post a link soon to "risk-free" real estate investments with "guaranteed" profits.

In either case, if you're not very knowledgeable on the subject you can lose big. One thing about the stock market - it is almost instantly liquid (if you want it to be), and you always know exactly what it's worth.
