Apple Cider Vinegar tablets are not necessary. They are more expensive than buying the real thing. Yes, if you take this with a greasy meal it will help you digest it but so does a glass of wine or two.

Apple cider vinegar will give you a pick-me-up too late in the afternoon when you really feel like a cup of coffee. Just put half a teaspoon or less in a glass of clean water without the horrible taste of Chlorine. We buy this which you can buy in any healthfood store. When I open the bottle, my cat is immediately on the counter top to get his portion in his water too and so did our dog. They must know what is good for them as they can smell it when I open the bottle. I am not kidding.

You should go on the diet I was on for lunch today. I went to a drive up A&W and I had:

      1) Original Bacon Cheeseburger.

      2) Chili Cheese fries

      3) Rootbeer Float.

That should put you onto America's diet.
Once and a while is great but doing this every day will make you look like a whale. You can count on that. I hope not, Boca.

My DH would have too if we had not met each other. He was eating the same junk food too every day because he would eat out always. Now he is the gourmet cook in our family because I would eat raw food only. I am a or was a rabbit in my former life.

        Avery,

Glad to hear that you are having a good time. And, glad to hear that you brought your camera this time, even if it is out of batteries......

        BB,

Your lunch is my son's idea of the perfect meal. However, it doesn't sound very dietetic to me.....

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Wow, that stuff sounds awesome. Angela, the description of its benefits (click on Emmy's link) sound like they are written as the prescription to cure 'the Main Beach Blues.'

I am going to try some!

Avery, less is better. Remember that. Let your animal smell it and see how he reacts? It's amazing. They do react. All of ours did but give them very, very little like a drop or two.

              Pat,

I was in East Hampton for the weekend...I was suppose to spend a few more days there, but my dog got sick, so we came home last night.

I was going to send you a note to see if you had time to meet up for lunch, or a drink. I still owe you lunch, and I would love to meet you.....

Angela, I hate to sound like a commercial but if your dog is sick, another web site that is very interesting to read is http://www.wysong.net. They have lots of good information on pet food and we have ordered their food for all our animals for many years. One of our animal Specialists recommended it. She told us that our cat would die very young because of his condition but recommended this food and he lived to seventeen years old! He was a very fragile cat with an inadequate bone structure. The breeder had starved him to death when he was a little kitten so he would stay dainty and have a pointed face. She was the number one Siamese breeder in this country at that time. You have no idea how cruel these breeders are and we would rather pick up any stray from the street than buy from another breeder after we found out about this. When we bought this cat for a fortune and took him to the Vet, he told us to return him to the breeder or destroy this cat but we decided to keep him.

You can talk to their nutritionist too and they will give you recommendations. I believe in it and every day, I throw the left-overs in our front yard and the neighborhood cats come and eat it up eagerly. They are all fed by their owners so they are not hungry but they like this food. We only buy their dry food because our animals do not like their canned food.

                      Thanks Emmy,

I will ask my vet if he thinks this might be beneficial. Today he told me to feed her chicken and rice for a few days. If she doesn't get better, he will do some test.

She is already much better, so I think she will be fine. He has suggested Science Diet in the past, but perhaps this is a better product. Unfortunately, she mostly eats human food. She is totally spoiled at this point, and will only eat small amounts of dog food mixed into human food.

                      Thanks again....

Angela, human food is much better than Science Diet so long it is not ice cream and cookies and greasy junk food, etc. Wysong recommends giving your pets people food and preferably raw. We have a cat now who loves melon. When we bring one home, he jumps on the countertop and sits by it until we open it up. I have several pictures of it. Our kitchen is far from hygienic, I would say.

He also loves peas, corn, sweet potatoes and papaya and red berries in his yogurt! He is a true vegetarian cat but lately, he starts eating chicken and turkey too and he loves his baby-food. That has been a treat for all our seven animals over the years. I would have them again, if we didn't like to travel but we have decided not to add anymore until we can no longer leave our home. It's such a worry to leave them in a kennel or with a pet-sitter when we want to travel.

I just came home from the Our lady of Mt Carmel feast in Brooklyn. Oh those zeppoles are so good. And the ham and cheese calzone that's fried can't help the heart either.

...... How much of that drink are you going to need to rid your body of the damage?

                            Frank,

My uncle used to be very involved with that feast. There is a tribute to him in the song that they sing when carrying the saint.....Or, I should say that there was at one point in time. I am not sure if they still sing this song. His name was Oneal. I believe they used to end the song with his name. I was just a girl when he passed away.

When he was alive, we use to go to that feast all the time. I believe his grandson may still help out.

Frank, have a bottle of apple cider vinegar at home and mix a tiny bit with a glass of water. It will help but, not having the greasy or junk food too often, is better yet. However, life is for living so don't feel bad about it when you do it every so often. That's another reason why diets do not work because they are too extreme.
