8 of the 10 cities in the list were in California, so "stinkin' California" seems more appropriate.

Agreed, but she loves California. Personally, although I do appreciate northern California, I suspect I'd rather live in Ohio, although in the northern half. I prefer smaller cities than Cincinnati.

My brother also brags up California; he actually lives in a pretty area out on a peninsula, and doesn't deal with LA traffic much because the ocean and his work and all are right close, but you have to cross LA to visit him. Yetch. I think next time he goes on about how wonderful it is there, I'll post his local air quality rating, which is dismal.
