Buying puts is common hedging strategy. Market has been overbought in my opinion and the opinion of several others, so I am bearish on several name. Of course Netflix refuses to cooperate with me and keeps going up. Trades like this is why Soros has money and I don't.

The market has been going up for an extended time without a decent pull back. It has sometimes pulled back 1-2%, but that isn't a change, just a bump. The market will likely make 5-10% drop. Some say it will go lower down to 20%. Typically, Oct-Dec has bullish trends, so if the market is going to drop, I hope it is soon so I can get bullish.

I don't think we are going to have a recession starting in the next months.

But I sure wish Netflix would drop 20 points, just for revenge, and to get some of my losses back.

I am expecting a correction and do expect it in the fall. S'ok by me as that will be the buying opportunity I've been waiting for. Meanwhile, divs continue to roll in.

Not a proponent of the Hinderberg omen. Fact is, nobody knows where the market will go in 5 minutes, let alone in 5 hours, days, weeks, months or years. Market is fueled by investor sentiment.

I am long term buy and hold, only div payers, so not price sensitive except when wanting to add to positions. Waiting for Sale Prices ...
