You should ALWAYS go through some online shopping portal when you make an online purchase, or you are leaving money or miles on the table. (The only exceptions are Amazon and WalMart as they have either no payout or very low payout.)

I've made over 250,000 miles in the past two years without breaking a sweat just by making my purchases online. (I bought a bunch of home improvement stuff last year at Sears at 20 miles per dollar, etc.)

You should make it a habit to go to either Evreward or NerdWallet before any online purchase. (there are many other similar sites so if you like a different one, stick with that). Enter the name of the retailer at which you're shopping. You'll see the current frequent flier miles or cash back payout.

Examples:
magazines.com 20 American Airlines miles per dollar at magazines.com (last week it was 60 miles per dollar!)
Kohls: 10 Chase Ultimate Rewards* (UR) miles per dollar at Kohl's, 2% cash back at fat wallet
ebags: 8 Chase UR, 12% cash back (mr rebates, a competitor to fat wallet), 11% fat wallet
Sears: 6% cash back at Fat Wallet, 4 Chase UR per dollar

*You must have a Chase UR earning card (Sapphire Preferred, Freedom, one of the business INK cards) to access the mall. You *should* earn points even if you pay with a different credit card but it is safest to use your Chase card. And if you don't have one of these Chase cards, you probably should have, but that's a subject for another post

I need to buy bedding for my aunt who is in a nursing home, and will have it shipped. If I go through fat wallet, what site is best for inexpensive bedding, and with free shipping. or am I beter off going to a place like Marshall's and paying to have it shpped

I did a fast search, K Mart free shipping currently 25% off and 6% cash back. YOU can look for any company that sells beds like Sears,Macy's,JC Penny.Bed and bath....

Anyway, we made a few more purchases through the fat wallet link. So far we have saved about $2000 on cyber appliance deals with the added plus of getting cash back. I hope to purchase a couple of stainless steel ranges and over the stove microwaves during the holiday sales. I am still using the fw link here a 4m's so I hope your getting a piece of the action.

I only get the $5 for when you make your first purchase, They have a promo that gets me an extra $5 to the end of the year.,If I can get 20 people that is $100 plus a $150 bounus which is what I am hoping for.

John not sure why yours has not come up with your laptop purchase. If after 2 weeks you may have to file a support ticket which is found in your account>cash back>click history, you will see the Support ticket button after 2 weeks. Make sure you save the purchase email
