DW and I are finishing dinner. #4 Son is away, but is expected back shortly and will eat dinner when he arrives.
We start to take care of dishes; DW starts washing and begin clearing the table. I ask DW if I should leave the serving dishes on the table for #4 Son. She says, "No, put them on the counter." So I clear them off of the table, and leave them on the counter, next to the refrigerator so that DS can serve himself when he comes home.
About five minutes later she asks me why I haven't transferred the leftovers to storage containers and put them in the refrigerator. To which I reply, "I thought you said to leave them on the counter."
She says, "That's not what i meant."
