someone was killed by a lightning strike on ft myers beach last week, and his companion was knocked unconscious, just regained consciousness and was able to move hislegs.
and of course the small plane hitting the father and daughter in Venice.

to top it off some naked guys broke into Doc's on the beach and ran off with a box of frozen hamburgers (dubbed the hamburglers) and some red peppers

I did not read the article on the FL Venice Beach plane crash, but that nice little airport is situated near the beach. Actually, it is airport, golf course, then beach. So, proximity being what it is . . .
