Joan Rivers! Attended a private speaking engagement this evening with Joan Rivers. Not a groupie fan, but I do appreciate her humor. Her face is another story. Needless to say she made us all laugh! Got a signed copy of her book. Did not get a selfie, but I did get some video on my phone. She was in very close proximity to the crowd, and it was a very limited audience.

She was the very first show I ever saw in Vegas....I must have been 21 or 22 years old. She was awesome. She simply doesn't quit nor does she bend in who she has always been. While others critique her type of humor, I do admire her backbone.

Joan was hospitalized this morning after a cardiac/respiratory arrest following a "throat procedure" at an out patient surgical center. They are reporting her condition as critical....not good.

I have tickets to see her at The Count Basie Theater in Red Bank tomorrow night. Just got an email the show has been 'postponed'.

Wow! You'd think with all this money these celebrities have that they wouldn't do things outpatient where things usually go very wrong if they're gonna go wrong.

One day she is fine and the next day she is not. Really scary.

I talked to a person today who I know quite well and they were on vacation when her mother died. They bought airline tickets to come home immediately but it was too late. You just never know if there is a next day.

Not in NYC, many things are done at first class surgi-centers. Nothing shaky/shady about them....but yeah, it is not a good thing....suppose she is on life support until DD and DGS get there from CA.
Have not heard any updates.

I have been to our local out patient surgery center twice and my wife has been once. It is a first class operation ( pun intended ). It is owned by a group of local doctors.

When I read about the news OY at midday I just thought it was a big hoax!

Unfortunately it was true! And she walked past me yesterday! Lets hope for a speedy recovery. Love her or hate her she makes people laugh!
