Boy were you lucky!!! I had an allergic reaction to something and they deceided it was Lisinopril. My eyes were swollen shut & my lips were like yours . My throat swelled but not closed up so I could breathe. I'm glad you're getting your epi pen. They didn't give me one since once off the Lisinopril it hasn't happened since. A lot of people can't take Lisinopril. I am so glad you're ok. Hugs

They said that my blood pressure pills even after being on them for 5 years could have helped cause it. I need to go to my Doc to see if he can change it to something other than Divan.

Frank you are an ass but you are OUR ass and I do wish you would take better care of yourself. I don't care what you have to pay for the damn epi-pen GET it.

I am not a nurse or a doctor and I don't play one on the web but reactions get worse over time and that pen could save your life. Do you have a pricetag for that?

Thank god you are alright. When something like this happens we all can see how fragile life is and what are the most important things in life. And it all begins with family and freinds.

Well said Lawren! We all care about you too much for you to take that risk of it being worse next time.

Frank please seek medical help ASAP if this ever happens again! Go to an allergy specialist and get an epi pen.

Glad to hear you are feeling better!

So glad you are ok Frank!
I second Pat about the epipen. You should carry an epipen with you at all times now. It saved the life of a student at my school recently when they l least expected to need it. Luckily a teacher carried a spare epipen.
You'll need an allergy test too so you know what to stay away from.

I had to test it tonight, so I ate Sausage tonight. So far so good, but I know I have to take an Allergy pill in the next 3 hours or I may start to itch. I still think it was a bite once I have the pen I will try eating what I ate again.

                            Seriously Frank?
Are you trying to tempt death?
Can't you do this stuff in the day time not before going to bed.
We don't want to lost you to a sausage.

So is it that after eating sausage for your entire life, you suddenly became allergic to sausage ? Maybe the butcher slip some cat into the mix.
