bidding on ebay

We had spotted the dress my daughter wants for her wedding on ebay, but someone outbid me for the dress in her size. On several occasions, the same dress in different sizes has been up for bid, most of the time with no takers. Currently the dress is available one size smaller, but no takers at this time. Price is low right now.

My question - is there any way you can find the history of a particular type of item on ebay, what has sold and for what price?

You can try completed list once you login, pick the category and search on it. The option should be in lower left side of the screen. But it only keep like recent 3 weeks of bids.
