Have you used Uber? If so, what do you think about it? Would you recommend it? Can you use it as an option for the San Francisco Airport?

We used it at the San Francisco airport last month with great success. The fare was $34. I had a first-time users credit of $30 which made it great.

On the way back to the airport, we used the shuttle that the hotel recommended. It was $17 per person, so the same fare.

My son lives in San Francisco and uses Uber frequently. When I visit I use it. No problems and much better than hailing a cab.

My SIL uses it all the time in NYC and from JFK/LGA
Much better then waiting on those long airport taxi lines.

I don't love it in NYC, but I am in the minority I think. For cities that have fewer free-roaming cabs I think it's great. I would certainly try it in SFO if the price isn't a big up charge.

It works nice in Miami for now. The powers that be are trying to change that and make it illegal. It's already been outlawed in Fort Lauderdale.
