We have it at our house every year (our house used to be in-laws house) with my wife's side of the family. We always buy 2 turkeys so everyone has plenty of leftovers.. We carve one and after dinner the other is carved and shared. My wife's brothers both love to cook/bake so everyone contributes something. It is old fashioned with the same foods their grandmother made. Dessert is almost a competition because they all have favorites they make. I still like my wive's baking the best.
I'm not a cook so it's entertaining, football, and enjoying the food and company for me. Christmas Eve the same.I live to vacation and vacation to live.

We don't have any plans for Thanksgiving. Our daughter and her DH will be going to visit his 89 yo mother in Indiana for the Thanksgiving weekend. Our son always has a recruiting trip on the Thanksgiving weekend so it will just be the 2 of us. We are going away to the Aquarius Casino resort in Laughlin NV for a week just after the Thanksgiving weekend. We will be celebrating my wife's birthday.John

Now its at my house, again. I was told this morning that my place is the only place big enough to host Thanksgiving indoors. It looks like maybe 40-60 people will be here. Im in charge of the turkeys but others will bring the other stuff. I think I might use the turkey fryer, smoker and oven for a turkey trifecta.

I have hosted Thanksgiving for the last 28 years here in my small house. When I started, my 5 brothers were still single and I had 2 small children. Now they all have wives and kids, and I have a son in law and daughter in law and 2 grandchildren. We now host about 30 people. I cook 1 turkey and my mother brings another. I do the potatoes, stuffing, veggies. The family brings the desserts. No one minds that we are crowded and everyone always enjoys themselves.Jacki
