  • OK Go Video

I think there has been a video posted by this group in the past.
    This one caught my eye.
Pretty amazing stuff that these guys do. There is no way I am going to do anything in this video.

      That too.

I was thinking that I am glad I don't own the plane with the paint floating and then landing.
And also there is no way I could keep my stomach in place.
And how many takes to do that?

Big surprise to me, two of the members of the band were on Science Friday today (okay, I let it slip, I am a nerd). They were on for about 10 minutes, so cool.
They told how this was done, how the vomit comet goes up to height, then drops for about 30 seconds, then back up to height. These guys would do their bit for 15-30 seconds, then back in their seat to hold very still, then weightless in the drop again. They would do their bit on each weightless segment, then in their seat would 'freeze' with the music on pause. Cut the segments together and that made the video.
When they would land, the paint was still wet so the bulkhead would get hosed down. Next day when they would do the flight again, the floor was soaked.
Cool video by a group who has done a lot with music videos.

Aha. I've seen Vomit Comet clips before, and I wondered how in the world they managed to be weightless so long.

Now I feel dumb. But it's a great video, and I'd missed it. I generally enjoy OK Go in terms of individual songs, but their albums are too much of a sameness for me somehow.
