My 2 alarm clocks (yes- I have a back up) stopped working so one reason I got the DOT was for that reason. Trouble is I put it in my exercise room off our bedroom because I like to listen to music when I exercise and don't have to hassle with headphones and so forth anymore.

My usually very hard of hearing husband absolutely hates the DOT alarm clock. No matter how low I have it set ("cause I pretty much will hear a pin drop when I am sleeping- if I sleep at all), for some reason he hears the DOT alarm loud and clear.

Unfortunately, because I know it wakes him up - where my other alarm clocks never did- I end up having to get out of bed so as not to shout for Alexa to turn off. Now I am annoyed with it as well. I also have to remember to lower the volume after exercising every day so the alarm won't be blaring the next morning.

I have to say, though. She runs like clockwork (pardon the pun)

I thought in the app you can select different tones for the alarms, as well as set a predetermined volume for them?

Thanks for that. I did change it via the app on my IPHONE but it didn't work. The same alarm sound came on this morning. So this morning I changed it via my laptop. Will see what happens tomorrow morning

Do you have both an Echo and a Dot? I made the mistake of not selecting the Dot to change - it was defaulted to the Echo.
