  • snowing again

I kid you not, its been snowing a bit more than usual. I get back from Kauai and almost the very next day I am plowing snow. I have so much snow in the driveways that it looks like 4ft walls and it just started snowing again. The neighbors seem to think I will plow the road, and I do from my house to the main road, but with all the sad faces shoveling by hand as I go by I have been helping out by plowing more than a few out. Then there are the idiots who try to drive in this snow and get stuck at the ends of there driveways. I have a tow strap and have pulled at least 5 vehicles out of driveways and bar ditches.

The snow has been great for snowmobiling. Grandkids are really digging on it. I like the snowmobiling too but can't wait to get out of here to the Yucatan beaches.

And here, in what was formally known as Minnesnowda, we are getting an inch or three. Where are the big 10 inch snowfalls of my youth? These small everyday snowfalls are heck with traffic.

Could it be that the climate is changing?

Not like this- major drought here. But, it's raining now and we are only 20" short of normal.

There's snow on the ground in 49 states, according, I believe, to the Ft. Myers Chamber of Commerce.

That's one way to stay clear of the snow. I like the snow in the mountains but not one iota on my driveway. I was up at my cabin on New Years weekend and we had snow about 2.5 ft along the river and 6 ft or more up higher. I'm heading up with the snowmobiles tomorrow to check it out and go for a ride. The way its been dumping up there I might have to dig a tunnel to the door. The door to my chain saw and shovels are going to be buried. I might have to go through the upstairs window.

Maybe JLB is warm at the Florida ranch.

                    He is.

Tough decision . . . beach or boat.
