Some people find the trains loud at night. You can ask for a room away from the tracks or bring earplugs. The units are large. If you go to Hershey for the day don't forget you can take advantage of the preview pass which means you can go after 7pm the night before on the same ticket as the next day. When lightning is in the area they close all the tower and rollercoasters. We enjoyed the trolly tour of the town.

Yes, we have! It's nice. Across the street from a Starbucks in a little strip mall. Units are pretty large. Agree about the train noise--it didn't bother us, but we might have been on the other side of the building.
There's a nice indoor pool in one of the buildings.
When we were there, there was a concierge who could answer questions about local activities. She told us about local huge flea markets that are held on different days in different locations. Ask her if you're interested in that kind of thing! We went to one about 40 minutes away that had a giant farmer's market, plus flea market stuff and antiques and all kinds of stuff. Just out in the middle of a field, basically, on a weekday.

Thanks. Yes, we would be interested in that.
And we want to go to Gettysburg.
I've stayed there.
It's a nice resort.
Lots to see nearby Hershey.
There is a wine country drive nearby, of course the Amish places,
and lots of Hershey history.
Check out the University, they do a free guided tour.
There is also a CD you can buy to listen to a guided car tour around
the town and see all the historic areas.
Hershey park is nice if you like roller coasters.
Have dinner at the Hershey hotel.
When are you going, Jacki? We're headed out that way in August.
We are here. Had one set of grandchildren visit Friday to Sunday and the other arrived yesterday. Today they closed the rides and water park due to lightning so I am back at the unit now. We can go back later if the 3 year old wants since it is so close.
The unit is nice and the staff could not be more accommodating. They did a linen swap for us when our daughter left and our son came in.
