  • Early snow in the PNW

First week of fall has snow on the hills and below freezing weather over here in Central WA. I had plans to ride the KLR up to Blue Slide or Lake Tipso but its too cold for a bike ride. I think I'm going to go blow out some sprinkeler lines and winterize my place on Chinook Pass.

I got lucky this year in that a tree on the Chinook Pass property broke so we were able to cut it up for firewood. Talk about easy pickings. I fired up the old Stihl .064 and cut it up like I was 30 and the saw worked like it was new. The difference was at 30 I took beer breaks. Now days I take water breaks and more of them. The grandson split it up and others stacked . I think we got about 2 cords.

I do not like this cold weather.

Yes, our nice fall days really suck right now. Usually in the 80's or mid 70's with lows in the 50's to mid 40's this time of year. Today's low was 27. I was suposed to do some outdoor work but its too cold and about to rain.

This crap weather is heading your way !!!

Today it was 91 here on Long Island. Tomorrow it is not supposed to even reach 60. CRAZY!
