My daughter works at Long Island Community Hospital, and they have started using this drug. I hope it helps. It's scary ugly out there.

There seem to be several promising medications or vaccines in testing. Hopefully we will soon have at least one generally available.

The world is waking up to how this developed. The latest is an editorial in Germany's largest newspaper, "Bild" written by its editor in chief denouncing China for "exporting" the Wuhan Coronavirus and calling for 149 Billion euros in reparations from China. I can see the logic in that thinking. When China shut down domestic travel to protect their own citizens, they left international travel open, including the direct non-stop flights from Wuhan to Milan, Italy, and it was the Milan area that was the first hotspot in Europe.

The Australian and British governments are also questioning China's role, including a recent report from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British House of Commons that calls out China's coverups on the Wuhan Coronavirus that are "costing British lives" and calls for rethinking their relationship with China.

Japan's deputy prime minister has denounced the W.H.O which he said should be renamed the "Chinese Health Organization" due to its subservience to China.

As to governors, I can mostly speak to the actions of my own. It was recently published that 125 North Carolinians have lost their jobs for every 1 resident who had contracted Wuhan Coronavirus. In our state, our governor has abused his authority in issuing executive orders. Our state statutes allow the governor to issue executive orders with the kinds of restrictions he did ONLY with the concurrence of the Council of State. He has no statutory or Constitutional authority to issue such executive orders without obtaining that approval from the Council of State. On the governor's first executive order, closing restaurants, he went to the Council of State, and they voted to reject it. In complete defiance of state law, the governor issued it anyway, unilaterally. The lieutenant governor then put out a press release informing the public that the executive order had been rejected by the Council of State and was not lawful. On his subsequent executive orders, the governor has not even taken them to the Council of State, but just issued them unilaterally. According to one of the local sheriffs in our area, a number of sheriffs in this part of the state have talked and realize that the governor's executive orders are not lawful, and so they will not be issuing any criminal citations for violations but will just encourage people to cooperate with spirit of the orders. They are not making that policy public because they do not want to stir up the situation or get in a pissing contest with the governor.

I do read news stories that both houses of the Pennsylvania state legislature have passed a bill to repeal the governor's executive order on lockdowns, leaving the issue up to local governments, which makes far more sense, and that several Michigan sheriffs have written a public letter to Michigan's governor challenging her lockdown executive orders.

Some of our local governments in North Carolina have issued travel restrictions within their counties, parts of counties, or towns. The Hyde County Commission has banned travel to Ocracoke Island, which they can control through the ferry terminals, but not the mainland part of the county. Dare County has banned travel by outsiders into the county and set up barricades at all roads coming into the county. The town of Beaufort in Carteret County has also banned travel by outsiders and barricaded entrances to the town. Dare County is currently being sued in federal court by people who are not residents but own property there over the travel ban.

Nationally, our federal government was one of the first in the world to implement travel restrictions, even when the WHO was shilling for China and opposing them. Some European countries such as Poland, Denmark, and the Czech Republic have more recently implemented far more stringent travel restrictions, applying to anyone other than their own citizens or people with residency permits in their country (everyone else from business travelers to illegal aliens are out of luck). Curiously, during the 2009 swine flu epidemic, which emerged in Mexico, China itself had imposed a travel ban on travel from Mexico, but this time took strong objection to any country imposing travel bans from China.

It will be interesting to see if all these rabid demonstrators that are ignoring safety distancing will result in infection increases. Should trump actually begin having political rallies and increased infections occur there should be repercussions. I support the rallies happening as it just may just improve the gene pool. Attacking China at this point could be a disaster if the Chinese stop selling necessary supplies to those complaining the loudest.

There are people in many places ignoring rules on mass gatherings. Muslim funerals has been one example, and not just in Iran. In the last few days a funeral of a high ranking Muslim cleric in Bangladesh had 100.000 people standing shoulder to shoulder even though the family of the deceased had asked people not to come due to the virus and the country had an emergency rule in place against mass gatherings..

But there is also restiveness against the lockdown which is contrary to the notion of freedom of people in the western world. Demonstrations by ordinary Germans against the lockdown led to physical confrontations between police and protesters recently, local authorities in Sicily have warned of a possible breakdown of law and order, and the migrant asylum seekers have also been pushing back across Europe. There have been riots in two asylum centers in Germany, one with the migrants waving ISIS flags, even though both were quarantined with confirmed coronavirus cases. In Belgium, a migrant who was evading the lockdown tried to get past a police checkpoint on a scooter and crashed into a parked police van killing himself, which led to a migrant mob attacking the police at the checkpoint with bricks, concrete slabs, and gunfire, and then moving on to attack the police headquarters.

As to China, there will be a time and a place, but they have a lot of explaining to do. Their control of so much in the way of medical and other supply chains is, indeed a danger, and should be a wake up call to move production back home. Part of Japan's stimulus package included billions of dollars to Japanese companies to move production out of China and either back home or at least to third countries. That is something other countries should look at.

I read today that Gileads Remdesimir doesn't work. Gilead Science stock is heading back down today. I also read that many doctors have used the hydrocoliquin with zinc or a zpak that does work even though it is being reported as not working by unqualified idiots in the media. My foster mom was in a nursing home and tested positive for covid 19. She actually beat it and is in the uninfected ward now. If I told you what actually happened you would never belive it.
