That usually does not happen. These days, most bodies are embalmed, and after that they are definitely not alive.

On a ghostwalk in London, we were taken to a churchyard where something like this happened. A woman was found unresponsive a couple of centuries ago and thought dead. She was entombed in an above ground tomb. The night after she was buried a grave robber pushed the stone lid away and opened the casket to steal jewelry. He could not get a ring off of her finger so he pulled out his knife to cut the finger off and get the ring. The pain brought her back and she sat up. The grave robber screamed and fled. The woman lived another 20 years before she died for keeps. Or so the guide related.
