  • What foods do you miss most since the start of Covid19

My favorite food is Pizza but we have not had any Pizzerea made pizza since the first week of March. We have made it a few times from Scratch including making the dough and even made home made Mozzerella which was good but not great.

Chinese Food is another food we miss having but I was able to make it a few times , And I buy the Egg Rolls and pork Dumplings from https://www.schwans.com/products/cat...eyword=chinese , They are the best we have tried that come frozen.
What's funny is our favorite place has been closed for 2 months but 2 weeks ago we had there sweet and sour soup because we had it frozen

We did take out Chinese locally in March. It wasn't quite as good as it usually was, so that may be why we haven't done it again. Had couple of take out Pizzas - including one on the way back from grocery shopping yesterday. I can't say hat there is anything I have missed except perhaps a whopper on shopping days, as we rarely go out much to eat anyway.

Tonight I had the first pizzeria pizza in almost 3 months. Although it was not the best I ever had, it tasted DELICIOUS!

My favorite Italian restaurant has been closed but will reopen Monday. I'll be there for lunch.

I love grilling steaks this time of year, but they are hard to find in the grocery stores. I did score some at Aldi a few days ago, but they limited purchases to two packages. I wish my wife had been along so we both could have bought two packages.

Our two Chinese buffets have both been closed, and there is no indication, when or if they will reopen. Ditto our local steakhouse.

I saw a national estimate that 25% of restaurants will never reopen, and a regional leader here in eastern North Carolina put that figure at 30%.

Fortunately, both of our local NC Barbeque restaurants have stayed open for carry outs and drive thrus.

I was there years ago, Pizza had me wonder why there was a movie made and they also used to sell Mystic pizza frozzen in your local grocery.

Resturants are still closed some will never reopen. Not knowing if places froze the food, WE are going to wait to order to make sure resturants restock fresh

I've never been there and never saw the movie, but I heard the pizza was nothing special.

There is a bar/club about a half hour from home that has a decent reuben sandwich, served with a guinness and some good Irish music and I can enjoy the evening. But, we are pretty good here. I have 2 grills and we are not going hungry and with wines being shipped to me from California, we are not in bad shape at all.

We have too much food. I'm gaining weight with this covid 19 quarantine. I do miss the drinks and friends a bit.

We may be missing a lot more in the way of food. The head of the NC Restaurant and lodging Association has warned that as many as 65% of North Carolina's 19,000 restaurants may permanently close due to the lockdown. Some in our area already have.

It is maddening to think of those places which have left restaurants open like South Dakota, Sweden, and Latvia but had similar or lower disease numbers than places with draconian lockdowns that severely limited restaurants. That leaked report prepared by medical experts for the German government that called the coronavirus response a "global false alarm" comes to mind.
