Off to Italy for 3 weeks

I am leaving for the airport at about 5:30 to 6 o'clock to make a 9 pm flight, Which is about 4 to 5 hours away from now. When I awake from my night flight. I will finally be in my parents home town in Sicily for the first time in my life.
I will try to check in here if I can get Wi Fi with my PC phone. I may not get in here at all. If you need something done PM, Quarterbore, Sydney, Tonyg or Lawren2.

Ah, Sicilia! We visited DH family's home town in 2004....what a wonderful trip....where will you be in Sicily, Frank? Have a wonderful trip...hope you bring back as many beautiful memories as we did!

Have a safe and fun trip. If you visit Milan, a fun thing to do is to climb onto the roof of the Duomo, the catheral, which is across the street from their Galleria.

I lived in Milan when I was a kid. I loved it!!

Frank.....I know that you speak Italian. I wasn't sure if you could read too. I am in the process of learning.

My grandparents spoke very little English, so I was exposed to a significant amount of Italian as a child. However, both my parents spoke only English to me, believing they were doing me a favor.

I want to learn as much as I can before I go to Italy. We are planning to go in 2008, so I only have a couple of years, and it is harder than I thought it would be.....I remember so little from my childhood.


Be safe, enjoy your wonderful trip, and take lots of pictures.
