  • Vacancy - moron required for baggage handling.

I've just been watching a news report about the aircraft diverted on its way from London Heathrow to Washington DC.
They showed all the passengers disembarking and then showed the baggage handlers removing suitcases from the containers for the dogs to check. Presumably the reason for using the dogs was to check for explosives, yet what are the baggage handlers doing - throwing and dropping the cases and then kicking them into line.
If they do that with cases in full view (apart from being an idiotic thing to do in the circumstances) what do they to to cases out of sight of the public?

      diverted flight

I didn't see that footage, but they did mention on the local (Boston) news that one woman with clostrophobia lost control so they had to land the plane. She did NOT have a screwdriver as reported earlier. Apparently there was another person on the plane who had another "issue". Things are always interesting these days, aren't they?

It was the Boston airport (United 923) and I would think that the whole airlines industry baggage handlers needs some training on how to handle this problem/situation.
