I recognize the song but am not old enough to remember seeing the group (I was 6 in 1965).

Jackio I was 5 and remember all the hits of the day ( my mom was only 21 years older than me and she'd play them over and over )

      I got troubles wooo oooh
      I got worries woo oooh
      I got wound to bind...

Memories of Cousin Brucie and Danny Ingram on 770AM. Milkshake blue Buicks and TBirds that resembled Bat-mobiles. Wonderama. And milk was delivered to your box each day. A kindler, gentler, more naive time in America.

great site. The Dave Clark Five.....and early Kinks!

OMG there is a great idea for one of my internet radio shows....PUNK covers of 60's bands....I'm in pieces bits n pieces by Dave Clark 5 was covered by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. GREAT!!!!!!

Thanks Mav for that "flashback". Very cool.

THOSE were the days my friend:

Once upon a time, there was a tavern
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours,
Think of all the great things we would do

Those were the days, my friend
                We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we'd choose
                We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way

Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di di di di di

I'm starting another thread because I thin k it could be fun...

Listening to these I am propelled back to high school. It feels like last night I was getting ready for a h.s. dance , and dancing to these hits. I swear listening to these I can actually catch the scent of my Ambush cologne, the Ambush of then, not now. I don't know what Dana Corp. has done to that cologne but it is not the same scent.

                    High Karate!!

Remember those commercials? They were great. Also, the song the OP posted is still as great today as when it came out. I was 12 years old and remember it well. Aaaahhh, good memories.

                      I remember

Well, we still get milk delivered here once a week! We only drink one gallon a week, now that the kids are gone, but they just won't let us cancel our delivery. They even reduced my price to keep me as a customer.

I was ten in 1965 and had just become a huge Beatles fan when we saw them on the Ed Sullivan show the year before. I was just at the right age to really enjoy music that year. I had my little transistor radio I bought from Western Auto. I went into the store to buy another Barbie doll for $2.99 and came out with the radio instead. Boy, my dad just hated that awful staticky-sounding radio.

I remeber this song and group the lead female singer is very famous but I cannot remeber her name or the name of the group (in the last 60's or early 70's).
