Who only gets 5 weeks vacation? In her previous employment my wife got 27 days holiday 5 weeks and 2 days, plus the 8 bank (national) holidays and could also take 2 days per month through the flexible hours system. A total of 59 days holiday per year.Originally posted by BocaBum99 View Post

As I understand it, American football was derived from rugby in the late 1800's and eventually morphed into the sport it is today. Use of the hands was one of the early transformations. Free kicking during the course of the game in an attempt to score also used to be the norm, but the advent of the legal forward pass led to the demise of free kicking. Some also conjecture that the name came about because the ball is a foot long, but I'm doubtful of that theory.
