I bought some BHP stocks about 2 wks ago and it promptly went down by over $3 since! I was going to buy more but it's already going up again. Missed an opportunity to buy at the bottom. It's still about $2 less than I bought the first lot. Am trying to decide today whether I should still buy it or something else. Playing the stock market is fun isn't it? As long as you don't mind losing the money.

Forget Ford and it's baby rollercoaster. Once everybody takes off the rose colored glasses and remembers that this is the 2nd reorganization this year and that Ford is bleeding money and will keep bleeding, the stock will probably be selling for $ 5 to $6 in a month or so- if not even less.

Did you look this morning. I was in shock to see it at its lows at $7.75 today. I was jumping back in at $7.78 and chickened out as I saw it drooping from $7.86 to $7.75 in seconds. I did not want to catch a falling knife as I have done in the past. This stock was at $9.48 a day ago. You could have made or lost a lot in these past few days.
I did put a buy bid in at $7.50. If it hits it hits if not we will see where this stock goes on Monday.

Well, I hope for your sake that it doesn't drop to 7.50 today. Todays news has analysts saying Ford will not return to profitability until at least 2009. This actually could be the beginning of the end and it's not a stock I want to put my money into at this point.

Ford was at 7.95, I have some in my IRA that I purchased for 12.00. Can't even sell and write the loss off.

GTW, Cmgi, Jnpr all came back to life today.
Ford down slightly but starting to look like a bargain at $7.50 if it goes that low.

Well I am still looking at Ford but will not be buying for a while since it has gone up and I just bought NYB at the low of the day so far , $16.25.

NYB pays a 6% div so it should be a fairly safe play. I hope.

Sold my JNPR at the high of the day$16.99. Now to buy it back today at $16.42

My shares have not done too well but my managed funds have. The shares will recover though. I sold one managed fund to realise over 7% profit in just over a month. That's way cool. That money could have been sitting in the bank earning a pittance.

Don't mention JDSU! I bought at peak $200+ and rode it allllllll the way down. My broker keeps calling me and saying nows the time to buy more JDSU because it can double or triple. I then remind him of my 6 digit loss in this stock and he shuts up!

I dollar cost avg Jdsu and Cmgi both at $80 along with Globial Crossing and Mti. The biggest his were with JDsu and Cmgi. I still have thousands of shares of both. One good thing is I bought bought some Cmgi at $.85 and $1. and $1.09
