Using this # so it is easy to see.

$.30 times 1000 shares = $300 minus $20 commish to buy and sell it = $280 profit in a hour. Now it can also go the other way and for me it does.

Yeah but then that little profit is gone in seconds buying bags of crap over at Woot. You are in a vicious cycle.

As for JDSU, Cramer used to say it meant "Just don't sell us". How fickle !
As to commissions, Bank of America now has fee free trading. Since they bought MBNA, I'm guessing that they will employ the MBNA strategy similar to bait and switch and will start adding fees as soon as they get a certain number of people on board.

JDSUD down, JNPR Down, Ford down, Cmgi up

Here is a safe play. NYB is at one of it's lows. It is below $16.20 When ever it is at this level I have seen it go back to $16.80. The stock pays a 6% div which I think you have to own it with in the next two weeks to get it. I own a few shares in a few accounts and I just put a buy bid at $16.19 and just bought more The last time I bought this I paid $16.25 months ago. I have not seen this stock go this low since then.

NYB has a bit of a red flag. Cost of revenue has been increasing notably, with the last quarter's 68% more than just 3 quarters ago. Also, financials are coming next week. Buying at this time is gambling a bit as to whether things are continuing the trend or whether things have improved. I haven't decided to throw the dice yet.

I am no expert as you might have noticed but Ford should be getting really hammered today with there news that they lost Billions. This was much worst than annalist's had predicted. There are not down as much as they should be.

One analyst put a target price of 5 on Ford - hope you aren't holding, Frank.

Wish I was holding F, It is up like 40 cents right now.

My two winners today are LU and NYB, Everything else is going down.
I think that JDsud may have hit bottom, Then again it may not have.
