  • Speed Test

Smugmug (a photo sharing site) is working to build some tools for people for when they are having problems uploading or downloading pictures. They developed this neat "speed test" that let's you test your computer's speed.
    Smugmug Speed Test

According to the Smugmug, your results will vary depending on what type of connection you have and where you live. Cable and DSL connections should get anywhere from 1024 kbps and up on Download, and 128kbps or more on Upload. Anything from 256 kbps to 768 kbps Upload means you've got a good connection.

    Here are my results:
Download Speed: 4220 kbps (527.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 691 kbps (86.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

I just thought you might want to check it out.

        Wow! That is fast.

I forgot to mention that I'm with Comcast cable. I thought my connection was fast, but yours is really good. Lucky you!
