  • I'm losing interest in TUG...

and becoming addicted to TS4MS. I like to search just "New Posts" everytime I get on the computer. I am really tired of being timed out trying to open a post on TUG. I don't think they are getting my renewal money this year.

I still read TUG, since there are more travel and Marriott discussions there, which are the two areas I enjoy the most. However, I do see that changing, as TS4M's attracts more posting members and posting on TUG wanes. I've noted such in the "new posts" numbers on both sites, since that is how I tend to read. Sightings are still included in the new posts here, but I allow for that.

From my experience as a forum webmaster, I know about 90% of people who join just read and don't post at all, so it takes time to build a membership base sufficient to provide a substantive posting base. I think TS4M's is now reaching that threshold. Ken and Frank and the rest of the admin team have done a great job, IMO. Very innovative. TUG could learn a lot here (about setting up an information source).

I too, am bored with TUG. Very rarely look at it anymore. Sometimes (on non TS related topics) just when the posts start getting interesting, it is shut down for one reason or another. Usually just the hint of something "controversial" sends them running for the sheriff. I like the leniency much better here, for better or for worse, it feels more adult.

I have also found that I don't check TUG as near as much as I used to while I check TS4M's several times a day.

              Me Too...

Rita and I are at La Paloma, Rosarito Beach, Baja Norte, MX enjoying a few days prior to the big reelection push.
I haven't visited TUG in months (not that I have time to visit here very often).

I am tired of hearing negative TUG comments on this board. I would have thought that this board has evolved beyond the.

Ejnoy what we have here, but I do not see the benefit of posting that you do not use TUG anmore.

I enjoy both boards for the Time Share info that I can learn. I do not post often but visit both bbs every day. Every time I see a negative TUG comment on this board disappoints me. I know because I am not a frequent poster that no cares what I think.

I do not believe that Ken or Big Frank would encourage this. I have never seen a negative comment about this board on TUG. I may have missed one but....

I actually like both too, and visit both regularly. It's kind of like visiting old friends in two different spots.

Don't know what might be happening with you but I hit this board and Tug every day and have no problems with either. Never get timed out (I guess I'm just a good boy).

I read TUG daily and I love the Marriott System thread and many others too. Both forums are nice but are different which make both forums interesting to read. Since TUG has the new server, everything is working fine.

We do not encourage any negative comments these are Opinions from what people feel. This site is geared for free speech. What gets posted here may or may not be to mine or Ken's Liking but we allow it because we want an open forum.
Ann Marie could have said that she does not like www.biddingfortravel.com because they may not be very friendly, That might or might not be OK with many. But yet you will not see people saying to remove the thread.

As long as names are not used like in other threads, Moderators will not be involved to remove or lock posts like it was a week ago. Believe me, This thread is closely watched. As long as it does not get down to insults and remains as a discussion it will stay open.
