So be it ~~ Banned me cause I'm not done yet ~~ Editin my message is ok ~~ But what I said was ~~ if he wants to complain to TS4M's bout Tug problems ~~ Go over there & complain bout TS4M's over there ~~ All I wanted is some concideration of how some posts get by here ~~ They are here to start problems ~~ Look at the # of Posts he has & the trouble he has cause to some people over there ~~ He's not the only one ~~ You let Dave M come on this board & make a statement that isn't true ~~ Along with some other moderators here ~~ That's Tug fraction in itself ~~ Come on Frank ~~ Lets get the facts bout some of these posters here ~~ That's it ~~ I can't take any longer ~~ I copied this post ~~

Trev These are open forums, Anyone can post. Now I left Dave's name in your post to show you something. You know you are not to use names in this thread and I said that in post # 14 but yet you went ahead and did it. So what am I supposed to do.

      Lets see all the options,
Edit the post, No that makes me the bad guy.
Remove the post, No that makes me the bad guy.
Close the thread, No that makes me the bad guy.
Move the thread so no one sees it, No that makes me the bad guy.
The way I see it you put me into a position to be the bad guy, Get it now.
Now Stop farting around and stop putting us in a position to make us look like we are happy little edit hounds cause you know were not.

BTW from your first post that Ken removed, Below is all that I would have left. If you want the whole post I can PM it to you but it does not sound like the way you said it above or at least I do not see it that way.

~~ You don't know the complete facts of Tug or the people who run it ~~ Ifin you did ~~ you wouldn't make statements like you did ~~

Trev You need to do what I do when the wife gets on my back about 3 weeks out of the month. Go open a botle of wine and smoke one of those Huge 2 hour cigars. By then cooling off has occurred.

        TUG vs TS4MS

I personally like reading both boards. There is something different to offer from each one. They recently upgraded the site and I haven't had a problem since. I have dsl service and have never timed out.

The boards are what we all make it and it's your choice where you prefer but bashing does not help but only causes more negativity.

OK, I'll not attempt humor when discussing this topic.

I'm guessing I've been on TUG for 8 years, something in the neighborhood of 15000 posts, with an occasional time-out. Four or five years ago I started a post entitled "Where Have All the Good Guys Gone?" Well, something close to that. I was wanting to know why I hadn't seen some of those I had come to respect because of their infinite wisdom, charming wit, and uncanny ability to play well with others.

Oops, slipping into humor again. Sorry.

The point is, I loved TUG and was an obsessed devotee. (ask my wife) I simply could figure out why all these others came and went.

Fern will remember because she was the first to reply, giving some reason for why knowledgable people tend to post awhile and then move on, never to be heard from again.

I recently had this discussion with another veteran, one who has also mostly moved on, and he rattled off a bunch of names. I could only nod my enter key in affirmation, pretending to recognize the names. All the names were before my time.

Sometimes I have reason to go back into my old Outlook Express and see who all from TUG I used to talk to. Now I can't even remember who some of them are.

For whatever reason, a wealth of talent has come and gone Over Yonder, to be replaced by succeeding groups of new experts having all the answers.

The regular group that seems to have stuck is relatively small, many involved in the operation of the site.

Strange. I never get 'timed out' on TUG. I read it every day & post once a day or so. Maybe you need more memory on your computer.

Phil a couple of months ago TUG had server problems and even shut down some of the features of their software, but the server was still not enough to handle the load, so there were many times when you could not get it or go any further if you were in. I don't post much over there any more, so I think I only experienced the problem one or 2 times. They now have switched to a server with more capacity.

As the tape used to say at the beginning of each program:

As always, should you or any of your IM force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions.

Before my last post, I clicked on Reply way back toward the beginning and I had no idea all this was going on.

Please don't lump me in with it just because I'm here.

Emmy, add another to your list:

                  http://betterbidding.com/

Interestingly, the relationship between that forum and the more "familiar" one is an all too "familiar" story to readers of this thread

                  Enjoy!

It blows my mind to see how people can become so confrontational. I never thought my comment, which was made out of frustration on my part, could lead to such behavior among fellow TS4MS. I have been addicted to both sites for years, and have fully enjoyed them, as well as gained an enormous amount of information related to timesharing. I must praise all the volunteers that keep both sites going on a daily basis. However, TUG has been having server problems. Like I originally stated, I always go directly to "new Posts". I have no problem seeing the new posts, but I get timed out trying to read them. It is very frustrating, and I only have this problem with TUG, not any other website. I guess I should have taken my frustration out on my hubby instead!

I do the same - i.e., go directly to New Posts. (Actually I don't even go the home page at either site; I have the New Posts link boomarked at both sites and that's the page I use to access the sites.) If there's any difference at all between the sites, TS4Ms seems to have more latency on my connection than does TUG.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

                        “You shouldn't wear that body.”

Big words... Thew delay on our site is because of the points system... It takes a little longer for the system to determine who you are and what rights you should have... We could have a faster site but we are trying to add the extras to get people to actually hang out on here for more then an occasional post about timeshares

Sometimes (on non TS related topics) just when the posts start getting interesting, it is shut down for one reason or another. Usually just the hint of something "controversial" sends them running for the sheriff. I like the leniency much better here, for better or for worse, it feels more adult.

I enjoy both boards and will continue to visit both of them as I get something worthwhile almost daily out of each of them. Not sure why you are having time out problems Ann-Marie. So far I have not experienced that problem.
