In reading this thread. This will increase the competition between the two web sites.

This web site does listen more to its readers.

Plus this web site act's more in a timely manner to problems and concerns.

Tug has many years of reviews and I agree it is very good. Our main review section is still under construction. As you can see Ken is busy finding more toys to add to this site. For now go into Shaggy's forum, There you will find many reviews. Keep in mind it is not organized later in the real review area it will be.

The reviews area is comming.... I have a couple technical issues that have required me to learn new skills that I have not solved yet but the general layout on how our reviews will work is displayed in my working page here:

          http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...php?pg=reviews

This is kind of a third step as we had previously discussed what members would like. Then I went throught and grouped the items and worked out the variables I need. Now I am working on creating the basic code that will allow users to enter the review....

From the draft page you see, next I need to create the database that will store the data and make sure that Ihave everything defined. Then I need to confirm the data is all saved and we can get the data back out in the correct format. Lastly, I will go through and make the forms look pretty and match the website....

It is a long process but this will be a purpose built timeshare review system and it will work closely with the resorts database that a few members gave up a HUGE amount of their time to enter the data for...

I just need to invent the 36-hr day and 10-day week

The 2 sites will probably always compliment each other in good ways and in bad.

Once we have rounded out the content here ( ie reviews ) I expect that I will spend even less than the minimal time OY than I do today.

I continually see changes OY that strongly reflect things that our ownership has already implemented OH which only means to me that we have taken the lead. OY does not have any representation of independent exchange companies. IMHO that is our edge here and kudos for the folks that worked very hard to make that happen. THAT is the future wave for timesharing.

We mean to keep that lead and expand upon it.

                  Am I dreaming?

                  Is Phil dreaming?

The trends on internet searches indicates that we aren't.

Of course this has never been an "us" against "them" thing. We can each peacefully co-exist and have content for everyones benefit.

I enjoy both boards. The problem I have is that I like to read it first thing in the a.m. at work (mostly on my own time ) and the internet censors at work do not allow me to view "community bulletin boards." For some reason it will not allow me to view this board, but will let me read Tug (go figure). For that reason, I still read Tug daily, but usually only get to TS4Ms on the weekends.

I read both boards as well and enjoy them both.

Some people post the same info here and on TUG and I, personally, don't think that is necessary as a lot of people visit both boards.

Are there any other sites out there that are similiar to TUG and TS4MS? I am assuming no, since there never seems to be mention of any.

Please define similar. If you mean travel? Frank has post a site. If you mean discuss timeshare? Different system ususally has its own board (FF, BG, Disney) .... If you mean they post on this type of server, my last political forum is this format, and it is talking about any activities.

I think what is likely meant here is the sites that the owners maintain, like the Fairfield Yahoo Group, not the official sites of those companies.

You can use a search engine to find other sites by putting in key words, say like timeshare forum or timeshare bulletin board and then look around a bit.

Here's a google search for timeshare forum, and who do you think is on top?

Use timeshare bulletin board and the tables are turned.

Try www.timesharetalk.co.uk , based in the UK but with a fair number of US members. There is also a German timeshare forum, but I cannot find the info on the link.
