  • ACK! Contractor showing up tomorrow!!

Oh jeez, I can't believe but my contractor is allegedly showing up tomorrow to start work on the kitchen...

    I AM NOT READY

We are barely unpacked, we have too much crap all over, we have no place to put the stuff we empty out of the cabinets, no place in the living area for the fridge, etc. YIKES, here we go...

If you have a garage use that. If you have food in the fridge let me know, I can help eat it if you like.

No garage, but I may take you up on your eating offer...

what I really need is someone to deliver meals for a while... fortunately I don't think we qualify for 'meals on wheels...'

        Avery,

Just keep repeating..............It will all be worth it, in the end.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

          RV

When we had contractors in our house, I just set up the RV in the driveway and we lived there. Put the refer outside on the patio (we left the garage empty for them to stage their equipment in) and used the BBQ in the backyard for big cooking. I even had wireless internet, since our network emminates from the shop office.

We had to be out of the house for a week, but stayed long enough to inspect the work after they finished, then went on vacation.

Kitchens are supposedly the most stressful renovations.

The simple fact is we are NEVER ready for these things.

I hope it goes quickly for you.

            Good Luck Avery.
