Why do people post here, rather than TUG?

One big plus here is anyone can talk to the "boss(es)" (site owners) here nearly any day of the week. Such interaction makes the site more "personal", IMO.

There is also respect for the work behind the written word here. I can trust a substantive, on-topic post here won't get erased, even if caught up in a rancorous thread. That's important, because it preserves the knowledge base of the resource.

OH I haven't forgotten the mugs. An update to you guys on where we are with those on Monday!

      Why do I post here?

I guess it is because the site is young enough, small enough and responsive enough to respect input from all. TS4Ms is evolving constantly and is "warm and fuzzy" for the members. PLUS there are so many great features coming down the road that we can all help with! It is a feeling of contributing.

Donations drive the site but are not a pre-req for receiving the great information on the site.

      I LOVE that.

I won't bite the hand that fed me, taught me, through the years. But my work was not rewarded the way it is here.

Angela you must get a pic of the "BEAST" that does the daily run to the station. She's 22 years old now. Reminds me of the car in the RCI Exchanger thread but doesn't cost us more than a few $$ annually. She does her job well and we'll keep her.

Yes, that is so true and very nice and makes the forum much more personal. They are our friends and share with the discussions too which I like because it shows you where the "core" of the forum is coming from and what direction we are going.

See I said "God". Thread is not closed, I like that. But TUG is nice, too. Just more "read only" for me.

Actually, he's lucky to have me rather than my brother or uppity step-sister. I'm the easy one.

Some of the busiest forums are the site staff and the private HOA groups as well as the Goumba club and the Goumbette club. Even the political forum is pretty active as well.

At the rate this site is going, the 'smaller' part may not apply for long, but I feel much more comfortable here.

I also like that this is a free site, no agenda other than to build and maintain a great site. And the response regarding suggestions/improvements/problems is extremely thoughtful and lightning fast...

And people here have a great sense of humor, too!

I better stop now before Ken stops working on the reviews section Once that's up and running, this will be the only site I'll need

See the discussions http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...play.php?f=107. It indicates your activities and allow you to use them as the cyber cash in this forum for it activities (list in classifies, donate, ...). Sorry that as far as I know about them.

I really do need to get back to the reviews...

I have been working on learning how to handle images and I use the opportunity to fix a few issues with the photoserver as well as the classifieds image scripts. I think I have just about all the information I need to allow me to enable resort image uploads...

Too many small things that needed to be done this weekend... honest I have done nothing but work on the site all weekend...

It's a lot riskier to start threads such as this at TUG.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

                                “You shouldn't wear that body.”
