OK - I'll get in on the fun, too. I'm not as rich as Frank, so I can only give 2000 points.

          Here is the question:
What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

There is only one proper reply, and you must provide a proper and appropriate citation for your answer. You must also tell us what kind of person would know so much about swallows.

2000 points to the first person who provides the proper answer and citation. Edited posts are disqualified. If you want to change your answer, you must make a new post.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

          “You shouldn't wear that body.”

            Answer

I would quess that somewhere in this web site the answer being sought will be found. I couldn't bother as the first few parapgraphs were too technical for my pea brain (Arguing about whether we're talking European swallow versus the two indigenous African swallows one which is apparently migratory while the other is not.)

According to this site, "Stupid Questions Answered", the Black Knight said this:

The airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow depends on many factors and parameters. For example, an African Swallow would tend to travel at a different velocity than an European Swallow. Furthermore, their flight patterns are different, so their instantaneous velocity at a given point will almost always be different. However, technological advances have given way to being able to use swallows to transport husked coconuts across large distances, enabling us to use coconuts on a daily basis, provided we have a large contingent of willing swallows ready to make a nonstop convoy for X amount of time, or however long we wish. Swallows can also be modified, as attaching a 50 newton rocket propulsion system on a 1 kg swallow will result in an acceleration of 50 m/s(2), which is of course negating any air resistance, since swallows have been recorded as outer space fliers. I hope i cleared any doubts about this matter.
And please, don't ask me what the heck we're talking about cuz I don't know.

                    Steve,

This would be opposed to the laden swallow who we all know is married and has 6 kids.
