  • Male Restroom Etiquette

I wonder how many women will find this revelatory? For many of us males, all of this is axiomatic.

    Male Restroom Etiquette

    *************

It's a sad commentary on our world that there are many men who have never learned the basics. I suppose this situation was inevitable given the number of boys who are growing up these days in households without fathers. It's a sad consequence of of failed marriages and of men indiscrminately dropping baby-batter wherever and whenever they can.

So here's a message to all males reading this. Be a man!! Make sure you are a part of your sons' lives. And if you know a boy in your family or neighborhood who doesn't have a father, be a man and take responsibility to train him.

Then videos such as this will no longer be necessary.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

    “You shouldn't wear that body.”

I had no idea such rules existed for men. I feel so enlightened.

The funny thing is, I was much more fascinated by their inventive use of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Don't hear much about those outside of nursing school, and I never remember them used in such a unique situation.

That was great. I wonder how long it took to create that video.

10 minutes on continuous laughter. But then my wife says I am easily amused!

I asked my DH and he said it is true that men do not have eye contact or speak while they are there. For women it is quite different as we often have a little chat when we wash our hands. I often meet people from all over the world when I use a public bathroom in a hotel or a restaurant.

Someone sent me this video clip today and I thought it was hilarious too. The story in the email was obviously fabricated from the original film clip here. Enjoy.

                    Which Is It

                    Troglodyte may refer to:

A member of a primitive race or tribe of cave-dwellers, a caveman.
A person who lives in seclusion, a hermit.
A person who lives in a slum, a degraded person like the prehistoric or savage cave-dwellers.
One of a group of people who built homes into the faces of cliffs, connected by underground passageways, such as in France or Tunisia.
Troglodytes (wren), a genus of small bird.
The common chimpanzee, Pan troglodytes, an anthropoid ape.
Troglodyte (Dungeons & Dragons), a race of humanoid monsters.

The only critisism of the Etiquette film is that in my experience men are not sensitive to bodily noises from the stalls. Most men will just let it fly!

Now women, at least in my family, would rather die than make a noise in a stall!

Wash hands?? Is that what women do with the sinks in their restrooms???? Who'd a thunk that??

Men know restrooms have sinks only so you can put water on a comb before you run it through your hair. Male restroom etiquette means you put your hands under the faucet only if you don't have a comb. Then you put water on your fingers before you run them through your hair.

Of course, for many of us, combs are irrelevant.
