Woot Off just started

I'm not really a stereophile - i.e., someone who is passionate about attaining the absolute highest possible audio fidelity. I just enjoy listening to music.

Working at home I fire up WinAmp, crank up the speakers to the desired volume, and plink away at my keyboard.

Okay, then.
I love Bose and truly enjoyed working for Dr. Amar Bose. He is simply incredible and dedicated to "pure sound". The R & D guys are right out of the '70s (most of them). You know, tie dyed shirts, grey ponytails. I will post when I 'm going to the auction.

Reminiscing throught the Woot Off thread

I just took a sentimental trip through our Woot Off thread, remembering how I spent more than $1100, remembering how for 2 days that I got no work done at my office, laughing at all of the stress and enabling going on, Frank's lack of sleep, Lawren buying a vacuum robot, wackymother's anniversary. It made me smile and I felt happy until I remember that Glitter got the Bag of Crap, the Bunch of Carrots!

OK, Glitter, hopefully by now you have received the BOC. What did you get?

Please tell us. I can't let go of this thread until I know!!!

Did you get your JBL speakers yet? I've moved the grill to the garage for the winter, and I was listening to Femme tonight as I was grilling.

Yes. I received them the very next day. It was really speedy delivery. They sound very good what little I have been able to hear them. They are in daughter's room and she has some restriction that prevents me from entering it.

It is a very nice size and a really good sound. Your compilation would probably sound great on it but I haven't been able to get near the speakers.

BTW, were you grilling some Omaha Steak steaks?

Couldn't listen very long - I was cooking some Trader Joe's ahi, marinated with in the Auntie Lillikoi's Passion Fruit Teriyaki sauce we brought back from Kaua`i. Since it was ahi, the only time I had to listen was while the grill heated up.

The speakers work very well in the garage - just about the right size for that space. Gives me more incentive to get to those garage cleanup and fixup projects I've been meaning to do.

Ooooh oooh oooooh! TWO tracking numbers! Your BOC cannot be contained in a mere ONE tracking number!

At the Woot board, they're starting rumors that the BOC includes some new launch from Microsoft. It's too esoteric for me to even grasp what it is.

Anyway, I love the official line on the BOC shipping from Woot: "What's the hurry? It'll still be crappy whenever it gets there."

I am extremely curious as to what will be contained in the Glitter's BOC. TWO tracking numbers!!! I can't wait to hear.

Well my HP photo paper came today. I was surprised that it appears to be in individual photo-sized sheets, I thought it came in regular paper-sized.

Maybe my BOC will arrive on Monday...

My vacuum robot just came. I will try to set it up Monday. Don't want DH to see it until I have it working properly on the upper level.

Probably scare the poop out of Cougar Kitten though.

We got the refurb San Disk MP3 player for our 8 yr old daughter who was desperate to get an ipod. She loves it.....and it was less than 1/4 the price of what she was saving up for.

Well, that's not too bad...although no big-screen TVs in there. Is this three BOCs?

Definitely not sure what I would do with a magnetic Virgin Mary, it would be pretty obnoxious on our refrigerator since we're Jewish.
