If I've got it backwards, I'm very pleased. I agree that people should be allowed to vote on a time change. My body only works well on DST. I hibernate in the winter. ...well, not really, but it sounded good. Jean

Standard Time is actually "sun" time. It matches the time on a sun dial.

Daylight savings time is artificial, contrived. It's funny how we have taken to the artificial and like it much better than the natural sun time.

I too enjoy having the longer lighter evenings of daylight savings time. Although to me they have it backwards. Daylight savings time should be in the winter months and not the summer months because the summer months naturally have light longer in the evenings.

standard time makes me cranky but I don't think saving time would do anything for me in the dead of winter either. Dark when we get up. Dark in the late afternoon. It was full dark by 6PM today and we will lose 2 minutes of sunlight each day from now until the winter solstice.

        Dark,dark,dark and COLD. Bleh.

Could be worse. I could live in Alaska.
