Spring 07 is when the new dates start. I am curious if anyone has strong opinions about this change?

        Hope

I actually get one hour LESS to sleep. I do an hour in the pool before the sun comes and shines on me. Used to be the sun would shine on the pool at 8:15 which, of course, is now 7:15. Bummer!!!

But if you go to bed when it gets dark, you can go to bed earlier!

I really dislike standard time, and wish we would emulate Arizona and stay on daylight savings time ALL the time. I always have a harder time adjusting to standard time, and now they're making it even longer. Why? Boo! Hiss! Jean...who is obviously not opinionated at all......

I thought they are making standard time 2 months less of the year and daylight savings time two months more.

I can see a lot of confusion coming in the spring.

Doesn't Daylight Saving Time start on March 11. 2007? I would like to stay on DST year round instead of switching in the spring and fall.

I have no preference. Just wish they would pick one and stay on it.

I live in Indiana and wish they wouldn't have messed with it. I actually don't care much, I just don't like how they rammed it thru without asking the residents. By the people for the people, ya know??

Plus, they didn't solve the problem of "what time is it in Indiana" because we still aren't all on the same time. sigh.

Where are all those jobs that would come here if we changed time? ha, who believed that?

Yeah, being on New York time should be great, except we're on the same time as people far far away, and have to wait longer in the day to do business with California, and will never be on the same time as Chicago, the nearest big city... stooo pid

The 'new dates' are going to be another software mess for programs that 'automatically' adjust for DST. Not as bad as Y2K, but requiring code modification.

I'm only slightly opinionated.... and expect we'll go back to no DST within 5 years, after the rest of our drive-in movie theaters have been forced to close.

Yes. And we switch back to Standard Time on November 4, 2007. (Second Sunday in March; first Sunday in November).

It takes me a few days to get used to the changes when it gets earlier dark. I prefer long and light evenings like they have in the northwest.

Holland and England now change their times at the same time so no more confusion here. I always get confused too with AZ and CA or CO and CA. I wished we would stay on summer time too.
