I never even knew they made infer red thermemerters. Ok I lied, I knew about it years ago but not for this price. I worked with Heat elements and Theromcouples so we had to have a heat measurment. We had used a unit that required us to put the tip of the probe to the heating element. The tekps were aprox 600 to 800 degrees F. This unit that Woot has would not have worked.
