Well I was going to go and buy 4 bottle and split it with Vikingboy but they sold out in 2 hours. I am sure they will put something eles up soon. That $11 bottle sold for $33 so that was I deal I should have jumped on right away.

I look at the middle line to see a number closer to what the wine is REALLY selling for--I think that was in the $18 or $19 range for this one, right? And that was online, where prices tend to be higher. So really we can probably get this wine locally for about $15, and then we don't have to buy three. Feel better?

It did look good though. I was toying with that one. But I have a date with the FedEx man tomorrow, for my six bottles of something red 'n' cheap I bought last week.

I am thoroughly enjoying my first glass of the Petit Verdot. Do they ever sell good whites on that site? I've seen only reds and some really pricey champagnes lately...

You beat me to it. I was going to open a bottle tonight but my friend canceled last minute. I am going to try it tomorrow night. They do have whites now and then but mostly reds seen to be put u., for me I prefer reds. I used to like whites more years ago but changed over to reds.

I got a case of very inexpensive Italian white about three weeks ago. It was less than $6 a bottle. I haven't tried it yet, though. We had the Australian Shiraz tonight and it was very good.

I just opened a bottle with Vikingboy. Ours was not that good. It had a slight musty smell and taste. It could have been the one bottle.

For those who enjoy discussing wines and champagnes, try the forum below:

                http://www.vinocellar.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?Cat=

I've gathered a lot of information from there over the years.

For those who like a modestly priced Shiraz, I recently had the Jindalee 2004 and was quite impressed with it. We're going to try to visit the winery when in Melbourne next month, as it is in the small community group of Moorabool, only 30 minutes west. I'm a confirmed fan of Aussie wines, so will likely remain permanently plowed for a good portion of our trip there

Yeah, uh-oh. I hope it's just the one bottle. Maybe we're about to find out how their customer service is at this site. Good luck, Frank!

I hope it is just that one bottle as well. If it is not then I only have one left after opening the next one. Even though I bought 6, I split it with Vikingbboy. I am not going to call there CS over this because Out of maybe a dozen orders this was the only one that was not Spectacular. Besides I think we paid only $9 a bottle with shipping included. As I said it was not bad and I guess most won't even notice it. I rather save my complaint for when I really have a bad wine.

Avery let me know how the next bottle is when you open it.

Avery I opened up another bottle today and it was fine. I'm not sure what it was with that first bottle but the 2nd was good.

Oh good, I'm glad. If I get an icky bottle I will toss it and open another. For the price, I think it is a very pleasant surprise. I can't wait to try the $25 wine I ordered first.. but I think I'll pass on today's wine for $128, though I'm sure it's luscious.
